In België is de bezoldiging voor ploegenarbeid onderworpen
aan sociale zekerheidsbijdragen. Bijdragen die in vergelijking met onze
buurlanden bijzonder hoog liggen en het concurrentievermogen van onze bedrijven
aantasten.
In april voerde de federale regering een beperkte relancewet
door met daarin een beperkte lastenverlaging voor ploegenarbeid in bepaalde
sectoren. Die vrijstelling bedraagt dit jaar 6% en vanaf 2020 18% van de
belastbare bezoldiging van werknemers tewerkgesteld in ploegen.
Het Vlaams Belang heeft in de federale Kamer van Volksvertegenwoordigers een wetsvoorstel ingediend om de ploegenpremie volledig vrij te stellen van sociale werkgevers- én werknemersbijdragen.
Vlaams Belang volksvertegenwoordiger Ellen Samyn: “De ploegenpremie is een vorm van compensatie voor de ongemakken en nadelen die het werk in ploegen met zich meebrengt. De arbeider houdt door de heffingen slechts een deel over van de totaalkost voor de werkgever. Dat is onrechtvaardig. Door de ploegenpremie volledig vrij te stellen van bijdragen wordt niet alleen de concurrentiekracht van onze bedrijven beter, maar zal ook de arbeider op het einde van de maand netto meer overhouden op zijn loonbriefje.”
